Robbie Grayson

I'm Robbie Grayson, a strategic storyteller. My industry role is to share compelling narratives with the people and places that need them. Making the right story-to-people-and-place connections constantly requires me to level up on the art of refining a story's message. Three rules are key to making that happen: 1) get into your body, 2) give your message away, and 3) tell a better story.

 get into your body...

YOU CAN'T HAVE A BETTER PAST.

The first rule is you can't have a better past. Even though your mind has forgotten some things and remembered others, your body remembers it all. Even though your mind downplays some things and invents others, your body bears the burden of it all. So, the first rule is to listen to your body. Why does it dislike certain sights, sounds, tastes, smells, textures, and like others? If considered honestly, your body will reveal patterns and the patterns will tell you a story.

And that story? It belongs to you.

 give it away...

YOU HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH.

The second rule is that the experiences you've had, you have more than enough of them. You don't have every experience, but you have some. Those experiences that emerge from your body as patterns and then stories are the ones you need to give away. The reason these patterns must emerge by accessing your body is because you have such an abundance of it that it goes unnoticed. And if correctly and frequently given away, you won't find them burdensome or injurious.

ONLY YOU CAN TELL IT.

The third rule is that telling your story this way resonates with others. That's because the story told correctly and frequently is first felt, not only heard. And the bond created between you and your audience is perhaps the closest feeling of family one can experience who isn't a blood relative. The more that you access the information in your body and communicate it as sincerely as possible with your listener, the story takes on a life of its own.

 this is the message...

YOU DO SURVIVE EVERY MOMENT...
even the last one

Your story is your own but not isolated from the broader tapestry of human experiences. Your true story is intertwined with the stories of countless individuals who have come before you, each contributing to a rich and ongoing narrative about the resilience and enduring nature of the human spirit. You're telling the story that you've survived and will survive you. So, tell it better.
